Caroline Cutaïa
Caroline Cutaïa is a Marseille-based artist and multifaceted ceramicist, born in 1983. She grew up surrounded by images, shapes, and textures, developing a keen eye for the world around her from a very young age. After studying at the École supérieure des arts décoratifs in Strasbourg, she explored various mediums, such as photography, video, and painting, before finding in ceramics a language that allowed her to bring her ideas to life. Her work oscillates between raw pieces, which allow the clay to reveal its natural beauty, and graphic and colorful creations. For Caroline, it is always about making "objects that tell stories," unique pieces, entirely handcrafted, each carrying its own legend. Inspired by graphic design, painting, and her personal collections, she transforms the everyday into a sensitive universe, where popular culture and memories intertwine. Like her photographic work, her ceramics blend simplicity and storytelling: each object becomes a narrative, a tangible memory, a poetic fragment of the world she observes.
