Guylène Galantine
Guylène Galantine is a ceramic artist born in 1981. After studying marketing at Saint Martin's in London, Guylène began her career in fashion and real estate, where she discovered her passion for materials. This desire to touch and shape led her to ceramics. She trained with Sandrine Hurtrer at the Jouret Workshops in Roubaix. Her creations are organic, influenced by contemporary art and brutalism. For her, each object is born from the simplicity of clay—raw, textured, and alive. Grogged stoneware, rough and imperfect, is her preferred material. She favors the unfinished, allowing intention to take precedence over the finished piece and celebrating imperfection. Her vases bear the imprint of the hand, of a gesture that goes straight to the heart of the matter.
