Pascale Zintzen - Oikos Estudio
Pascale Zintzen is a multidisciplinary Belgian artist and founder of Oikos Estudio, who has been living in Spain for about ten years. Initially trained in archaeology, specializing in domestic ceramics, she has developed an artistic language through a historical and anthropological approach, exploring gesture, use, and the memory inscribed in objects. Inspired by ancestral forms of everyday life, objects that endure, and the Mediterranean landscapes that surround her, she questions our relationship to the home, the "oikos," as a space for dwelling and living. Her research into materiality and artisanal know-how takes the form of tapestry, painting, lime plaster, and ceramics. Each piece is handcrafted, fired using traditional methods, and glazed with wild pigments that Pascale gathers herself. Her objects, poised between beauty and utility, are imbued with a poetry of chance and imperfection.
