Spirituality as a need!
The totem as the visible representation of the invisible, a bridge between the physical world and that of the humanity. The totem asserts a deep aspiration, an identity, a lineage, it tells us a story, ours or that of man. And perhaps it also tells us about the world of tomorrow and the dreamed-of world of the artists who sculpt it. James Haywood and his marine concretes question us about a more ecological future, Eloi Schultz and his love of wood, guides us beyond tradition towards a contemporary aesthetic. The totem, an elevation towards beauty, goodness; concrete, wood, earth, … Matter always, matter as a revealer. Alice Damiens, wood, Anne Floche, ceramics, Eloi Schultz, wood, James Haywood, sustainable concrete, Yasmin Bawa, hemp, clay and lime. Around the sculptors, the painter Bea Aiguabella, with her "Kokoro" and "Fogar", creates the emotional heart of our exhibition and uniqueness emerges from repetition.
