Véronique Villaret
Véronique Villaret is an artist-painter trained at the École des Beaux-arts in Nîmes, under the tutelage of Claude Viallat, an important member of Support-Surface. This movement profoundly influenced her work, leading her to abandon traditional canvas in favor of paper and to relinquish hierarchical composition in favor of an approach centered on raw materials. Initially, she taught painting and contemporary art. Upon her arrival in Paris in 2000, she developed a passion for decoration and took on the artistic direction of prestigious projects for major textile and luxury brands. In parallel, she developed a unique body of work, combining vibrant colors and naive botanical forms. Evolving in what she calls “seasonal painting,” she pursues a body of work marked by chromatic sensitivity that is joyful and timeless.
