    Véronique Villaret

Véronique Villaret is an artist-painter trained at the École des Beaux-arts in Nîmes, under the tutelage of Claude Viallat, a significant member of the Supports/Surfaces movement. This movement deeply influenced her work, leading her to abandon traditional canvas in favor of paper and to forsake hierarchical composition for an approach centered on raw material. Initially, she taught painting and contemporary arts. Upon her arrival in Paris in 2000, she developed a passion for decoration and became the artistic director for prestigious projects for major textile and luxury brands. Concurrently, she developed a unique body of work, blending vibrant colors and naive botanical forms. Evolving within what she calls “seasonal painting,” she pursues a body of work marked by a chromatic sensitivity that is joyful and timeless.
