    Pascale Mestre

Pascale Mestre is a ceramist whose workshop is located in Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt, in the heart of the Luberon. She began her career sculpting trompe-l'œil and decorative panels on terracotta, before turning to tableware. She then explored the traditional techniques of mixed and marbled clays, aligning her work with the Apt faience tradition. Blending tradition and modernity, Pascale shapes natural clay or clay tinted with oxides, in a delicate process where the design emerges from within the material itself. Her simple, refined forms are distinguished by a subtle interplay of colors and textures. Plates, bowls, and decorative objects come to life through throwing, casting, or pressing. Each unique piece testifies to a rare craftsmanship inherited from the 18th century. Between the memory of technique and creative freedom, her work reveals a vibrant ceramic art.
