Estefanía Padilla, founder of "asterisque," grew up in a coastal town in southeastern Spain. This life by the sea has shaped her character. Influenced by her family heritage, particularly her grandmother's pottery collection, Estefania turned to ceramics after working in law and management. "asterisque" unites her two passions: ceramics and writing. These means of expression allow her spontaneity and freedom. They are spaces where the imperfect can be beautiful and where it is necessary to appreciate slowness. These creations are often inspired by a word, an object, or a piece of clothing. The imprint of the hand is very important to Estefania, who creates without molds, leaving ample room for the beauty of gesture and randomness. Raw and rough textures rub shoulders with "organic geometry" in a mix of cheerful shapes and colors. The artist describes his art as the result of a personal journey; “it is the earth that works me and shapes me.”
