Originally from Valence, Laurence Briat lives and works near Montpellier. After training at the Beaux-Arts in Marseille, she has gained experience in the artistic field during numerous apprenticeships and advanced training courses in France and abroad, including glass in California and engraving in Italy. After practicing painting, drawing and engraving for a long time, she now devotes herself to collages, which she often creates with papers weathered by time. Time, memory and erasure are recurring themes in her work.
