UVA Lamp

Maria Fiter is an artist and designer based in Barcelona. A graduate in art history from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, she founded her studio in 2013 and has since developed a unique practice, blending sculpture, design, and light installations. She brings to life objects made of cellulose fiber, "functional sculptures" that rhythmically punctuate space. Nature and the human body inspire her; her organic forms are abstract, sensitive, and poetic. Committed to an ecological approach, Maria works with recycled newspapers, transforming fragments of collective memory into luminous and sustainable materials. Each piece is handmade and can be customized to interact with the space it inhabits. Through texture and light, her work invites an intimate relationship between objects, space, and emotion.
