    Gregory Morizeau

Grégory Morizeau is a French artist born in Le Mans in 1970. He currently lives and works in Malakoff.
While everything predestines him to become a professional athlete, Gregory feels an irrepressible need to create with his hands and bring his ideas to life. First, there will be the creation of notebooks where notes, words and sketches are instinctively thrown in battle. Then will come the welded iron sculpture. For several years, his creation has been based on the technique of engraving, sliding towards a form of abstraction with a reduced chromatic palette. Using his tools that he makes, Gregory tests and covers the material with his inked forms, silent witnesses of the gesture, imposing a work of patience dominated by repetition, erasure and trace. Often to the point of exhaustion giving body to time.
