Rendez-vous avec Julia Morganho

Lors du vernissage de CONNEXION ÉMOTIONNELLE le 22 février dernier, nous avons eu la chance d'échanger lors d'un moment privilégié avec Julia Morganho. Elle nous a parlé de ses inspirations, de la musique, mais surtout de son art. 

Nous avons aujourd'hui le plaisir de partager cet échange avec vous.

RART : How did you find your artistic path, and what key moments shaped you as an artist?

JULIA : When I was young, I started to paint all the time. My family also has strong artists and musicians. Music and creativity are my main inspirations. I think that this is how I came to art. 

RART : What is the main emotion or message you hope to convey through your works?

JULIA : I don’t really have a message; it’s more about feelings. It’s like you see art and it makes you feel something. This is what I want. 

RART : Can you tell us about a piece you are currently exhibiting in the gallery and why it has a special meaning to you? 

JULIA : The painting ‘Swim with you.’ The title has a double meaning. It’s like swimming physically but also swimming mentally. This is the connection you can feel in both directions. You can have an open mind about it.

RART : What challenges do you face as an artist, and how do you overcome them?

JULIA : Sometimes, the hardest moment is to start the painting because there are a lot of things in my head like titles and colors. But then there is a special moment, a point, like when I hear music or when I see something, and then it just flows and I don’t think about anything else. It’s like being in a little bubble. So, yes, music and words help to start.
